About the North Fork Shoshone

The North Fork Shoshone starts high in the Absarokas and flows down into Buffalo Bill Reservoir.

It is a varied river with lots of public access. There is access in Wapiti next to Rivers Rest Resort. Cutthroat, rainbows, browns and brook trout all live here.

In the fall, migratory brown trout run up out of the reservoir, and that makes fall one of the best times to fish it.
